What private driver service is
A private driver is a single, dedicated driver assigned to your stay. They learn your schedule on day one and become the person handling all transportation for your trip — arrival ferry pickup, daily beach runs, evening dinner trips, day excursions to Coral Bay or the BVI ferry terminal, and the airport-ferry drop-off at the end.
Unlike taxi service (which is on-demand), a private driver is pre-planned for the whole stay. You build the itinerary, we assign the driver, and the same person shows up at every pickup.
Why guests choose it over renting a Jeep
St. John roads are challenging. Steep, narrow, winding, and on the LEFT side of the road. Many guests find driving stressful — especially with kids in the car, after a few cocktails at dinner, or in afternoon rain. Renting a Jeep is $90–$120 per day plus gas, parking battles at popular beaches, and the constant low-grade stress of unfamiliar roads.
A private driver removes all of that. Sunset cocktails without worrying about driving home. Multiple stops in a day without parking-lot stress. Kids who can nap on the way back instead of buckled in the back of a moving Jeep.

How a typical week looks
Day 1 (arrival): Cruz Bay ferry pickup with luggage. Villa drop-off. Quick grocery stop if needed. Days 2-5: Morning beach pickup (Trunk, Maho, Cinnamon, or Hawksnest depending on conditions), return for an afternoon villa break, evening dinner transport in Cruz Bay. Day 6: Coral Bay day trip — Skinny Legs lunch, beach time at Salt Pond, evening pickup. Day 7 (departure): Final breakfast, ferry drop-off with luggage.
Dinner trips, coordinated
When your group is spread across villas or the whole island heads out at once, your driver keeps the evening flowing — and when capacity allows and timing lines up, we may combine dinner runs heading the same direction. It keeps things efficient and makes sure everyone gets to their reservation and back on time, with no one left waiting around.

Every multi-day private driver booking comes with concierge service at no extra charge. Through your trip app you can request dinner reservations (we book them for you), add your flight details so we're at the ferry when you land, and set up boat-trip days.
